I use this bank as a secondary bank because it has an ATM that takes cash and check deposits, so you have don’t have to wait in those long lines inside the banks. Now that the bank stays open till 5 o’clock it’s even better.
I’ve never experienced such horrible customer service, and a complete disregard for a companies customer.
On 12-19-22, at approx 10:36am, I called and spoke with a man by the name of Mr. Marshall. I was inquiring as to if I would be able to drive from Amarillo to cash the check with their bank since it was from Progressive and it is their bank the check was issued by.
I explained I didn’t want to wait the 3 day waiting period by
using my own bank. I was told I can, that it would not be a
problem. BUT I was not told I would be expected to pay $52.10
for the privilege of cashing their check at their bank.
I was never advised of that until after I drove 1 hour and 10 minutes, from Amarillo to Plainview and attempted to cash it in person at approx 3:00pm.
I explained the situation to the lady bank teller, and she
could not have cared less. I asked then to speak to the manager.
The Bank Manager, Luciano Martinez, was rude and told me that
rather than calling and asking someone at the bank about my
ability to cash the check, I instead should have looked it up
through their policies.
He insisted I was in the wrong because I got my inaccurate information from the bank teller working at the bank. He also falsely claimed it is fair to expect that people living in Amarillo would more than likely have an account with PNC Bank, rather than not, even though the closest PNC Bank is over an hour away from residents of Amarillo.
He refused to do anything to help, and instead made me sure I would never want to bank with PNC Bank.
The lady teller even tried to make me feel guilty for asking for help with their other customers able to hear me.
Everyone except for Mr. Marshal was rude and
inconsiderate.
My check was from a car accident that has left me
in financial trouble and unable to afford the loss of another $52.10 that was not disclosed to me before my long drive. I would have not went had I been made aware of such a ridiculous and greedy fee. This also had a negative effect on my stress and blood pressure as I was not prepared for this level of disrespect and humiliation.
My direct deposit is not there on the 1st always and that’s when I get paid
PNC transition has been so far disappointing… unable to access online banking. The branch is unable to assist because they do not have equipment…currently I have been on hold for over an hour. The only reason I gave them is 2 stars are because the 3 employees are trying their best. PNC where is the support??
This is just PNC in general. I was hoping when I went back to pnc for a auto loan it would be better. Obviously for me it has not. Horrible customer service, Horrible hours, and horrible online app and website. PNC is trash and after this auto loan I will never use PNC again, even if they would offer me 0% financing!
