    CUTX representatives at the Bethany Road Allen location are phenomenal! They’ve been nothing but respectful, polite, kind and helpful. Treylon, Jakob, & Monica were extremely informative. Trey reassured me that he can help me with some banking issues(my fault). I was informed of every step along the way. I cannot express how thankful I am for this awesome team!!

    I mistakenly scheduled two car payments instead of one through the online banking and of course I didnt notice until the two payments came out of my checking account at another bank. I called CUTX and spoke with Emlyn who said I could just email them with printout showing that the payment posted from my checking account and they would refund the duplicate payment. I logged into the online chat several hours later and chatted with Liliana, just asking if she could confirm my email with attachment was received. Not only did Liliana confirm that the email was there, she attached it to the open case for my payment refund. Within an hour, the refund was processed and available in my CUTX share account!! I was OK with waiting 1-3 business days, but Liliana went above and beyond to make sure the email went where it needed to be. Thank you Liliana!

    If I could put ZERO stars, I would… I have been with this credit union for 14 yrs and always had wonderful service until now. I can NOT reach anyone via phone or online. This is ridiculous. I do not want to speak with your AI Bethany who continues to put me in a loop. Also, your online support, must be fake…Crystal, Danielle, and Yesenia do not respond to any requests. There is absolutely no way to get in touch with a human. I will be going in to the bank to get something taken care of that could have been done on the phone.

    I’m updating my review because of a call from Joe Sanchez​​​​, the branch manager for the Allen Bethany branch. I shared all of my frustrating experiences with Joe and he deeply apologized and took care of several of my issues right on the phone. Joe gets it and in time if our experiences improve I will go back to trying to exclusively use CUTX for our financial needs.

    I’ve only been a customer since fall of 2023. I joined because of the HELOC product which the application process was very smooth. Since being approved for the HELOC, other interactions have not been great. Getting a basic Checking and Savings account setup took weeks and multiple emails and calls to get checks and debit cards. I’ve had people not show up for scheduled meetings to discuss services. After 10 days of trying to get a CD setup and funded I gave up and moved the money to my brokerage account to invest.

    I had to come back and change from a two star to a one. When I ask CUTX to close my $0 balance CD and explained why their only response was, sure, I will be happy to take care of that for you. Not sure they are understanding the problem.

    This bank makes the most simplest things complicated.
    1. Debit card setup. I called to set the debt card up. Didn’t work, automated system told me to inside a branch, did that. Then the branch employee tells me to call the same number that told me to come into the branch. Did that once again and it didn’t work, then he decided to actually help and called tech support.
    2. I go into a branch to pick up a cashiers check, for a set amount already done by the loan officer. The employee at the branch kept putting random numbers on the check and adding more than it should be. Took a few try’s to fix the issue.
    3. Then I was told by a branch employee he could enroll into paper less statements so I wouldn’t get the fee monthly. Well that’s not true. I was charged the fee, then called to get the issue resolved. After waiting 20 minutes on hold I was told by an annoyed employee that the branch can’t enroll you into paperless statements and it was on the member to do that. Then I ask well then why was I told different? I also ask can you revert the fee and he said no.

    There is always I mean always an issue with this bank. I mean I have two other banks accounts for the past 15 years and never have I had an issue. I get this account with the local credit union, and have had problems since day one.
