Came and spoke with management about a loan. I was told the max they could offer me on an item was 1,600. Came back the next day to do the loan and the same manager then back peddled and wanted to offer me only $300 on a $19,000 mixing console without even looking at it! Its not only a lack of common business sense the offer was downright disrespectful and a complete waste of time.
Idk how this place is still in business honestly the only good thing about this place I would say is their hours are a bit later than other name brand pawnshops. Other than that this is 2024 and they still don’t have a more convenient way to extend or payoff your loans other than cash and I’ve done business with other pawnshops for years and have never had that issue paying with debit card online or over the phone. They demand cash for extensions and payoffs and their atm charges a ridiculous fee. This was my first and def last time doing business with them. The only reason I even came here was because at the time the other pawnshop was closed already when I needed the money. Do not reccomend if I could’ve gave zero stars I def would’ve. Other brand name pawnshops that are close by also give you more money for your stuff especially if you have good history of paying off your loans with them and they have way less interest fee percentage.
Service is the worst here. I came here to retrieve the items I used for a loan. After a hour long wait while the staff tried to “find” my items, I was told that they couldn’t find them.
If you intend on getting back your items after getting a loan, do not use this pawn shop. The staff will loose and damage your belongings.
told us in order to pawn an apple watch they had to connect it to a sales rep iphone, but their only girl with an iphone wasn’t at work and another rep had to update her phone which was taking over an hour. getting closer to closing time they told us if it’s not updated by close then we had to come back the next day. after going back and forth with a sales rep who kept shrugging it off, a rep who kept saying he doesn’t have an iphone cause he can’t afford it, the manager decided he didn’t like my attitude and said they won’t take the watch anymore. and really tried to cancel the whole transaction. the male sales rep already had a few items in the system, so the manager let him finish that. but this pawn shop comes up with their own rules, and even admitted it themselves. reached out to the corporate office for bayou pawn, they said they would follow up with me with more info within 24 hours, never heard from them. so it’s clear why this shop acts the way it does, the don’t get any repercussions.
also the male sales representative didn’t want to do the work and split our items between my husband and i. he kept saying “well he has good payment history” but never checked into mine, which he would’ve saw mine was the same if not better than my husbands. we wanted to split what we need to pawn that way the interest to get them out wouldn’t be that great, but he didn’t bother looking into it.
again, horrible business practices, they do as they please. they aren’t better or have better prices than other shops, they are just open on sundays so it helps for last minute needs. but if you can make it to ezpawn or anywhere else, just do it.
i’ve attached pictures of the apple watches they had in store while the manager told me they aren’t taking them anymore and unresponsive emails to corporate.
Wish I could give zero stars. Told me my necklace was fake when it’s clearly real. No experience, no customer service, unprofessional and probably selling fake products.
