Feels like 1930s depression era. I’ve been banking here for over 13 years. Bank of Dystopia. The Spirit Airlines of banking but worse. Bank of America will make it easy to put your money into an account but extremely difficult to take out. At this point, I would rather keep all my cash in a safe at home than leave it here.
Horrible experience. I went to 3 BOAs and still don’t have my money. We’re talking about a withdrawal that’s less than $5k here. Now I look like a jerk to my vendors who I said would be paid cash today. I thought that a bank was supposed to keep your money secure and allow withdraws when a customer needs it – especially on a weekday.
The teller at this place was so rude too, claiming I could not withdrawal money due to a signature issue when I have made withdraws, and had cashiers checks made so many times. I had that same “signature” issue before and sat down with a banker in Denton that proceeded to try and upsell business products. She just didn’t want to help. She acted like it was my fault and my problem when BOA is clearly wrong. It seems like every person that works at BOA has an incentive to give out the least amount of withdrawals and to sell the most products.
She said “well they shouldn’t have given you that” and provided no solutions. I shouldn’t have been able to withdraw my money?! What now? After I realized she would not help me, I transferred funds to my personal account and asked her to pull the funds from there but she said the funds I was requesting were unavailable without even checking.
I have a business to run! I sat down with a BOA associate and signed their forms months ago! I will be going on site in Denton and withdrawing all of my money from both business and personal accounts and switching to a real bank.
3 BOAs you ask? Yes, it took me 3 Bank of America trips to withdraw $4800 and I only have $2k and look like a jerk to people I promised money to. Yes, you read that right – I was only able to access $2k of my money, no policy, no nothing in place – this branch just decided that they weren’t going to do it and the others claimed incompetence (BOA 2 said the money truck had not come for 2 days).
My 3 hour waste of time visiting BOAs around Ft Worth.
1. “We only have ATMs and the limit is $1500”
2. “We ran out of money, the truck didn’t come, so withdrawals are limited to $2000.”
3. “Your account hasn’t been authorized with a banker”.
I do this all day but after visiting 3 BOAs and no result – I will be moving to a bank that has up front service charges because at this point y’all are costing me money…and time, and my reputation!
Do not take my money and fail to have a process to obtain it. Go love yourselves.
