As a member of AFCU for almost 30 years, they have handled many of my financial needs. Recently, I had some suspect issues hit my account and AFCU contacted me with a fraud alert. They have in the past and it has proven helpful.
Today, I had the pleasure of Kim and Myles helping me understand activity on my account. Kim was kind enough to refund some overdraft fees ($6) and Myles provided me with a spreadsheet of another suspected charge.
I am grateful to Myles and Kim for their help through this issue. While not resolved, I know they are on it. Kim works at the Sanford branch and has helped me over the years. I have not met Myles, but I hope to as he was instrumental in getting me to this point! Thank you both, and thank you AFCU! Bob
Phoned the credit union to discuss interest rates on a new vehicle, I hung up due to an incoming call on my end. I then called back and spoke with a nice lady who went over the current interest rates offered through the credit union. After 10 minutes, I received a call from Jackie R who stated that she saw a missed call and wanted to return the call. I informed her that I spoke with one of her colleagues who went over the current interest rates which I also discussed with Jackie R. I was taken aback that Jackie R. would take the time to return a miss call. It’s very rare to find such excellent customer service these days. Thanks Jackie R. for taking such pride in your job. As a member, it was very appreciated.
Allied Federal Credit Union just updated their online banking over the Labor Day weekend. My account is somewhat intricate, so I needed to call and talk with someone to get everything updated. Jordanne answered and gave me the particular answers to all my questions in a professional, and patient way. I appreciate her help. All of the employees are helpful.
My husband and I have been with this bank for years and definitely about to close the account on tomorrow. They decide to close the bank down for a whole week with no access to money (kept declining with anything we did), couldn’t get a balance inquiry, couldn’t use app, didn’t get paid on time, and on top of that had a spending limit on OUR MONEY! Then they charging for things that were spent weeks ago and can’t explain why?! We couldn’t even pay our rent because the whole damn bank was closed for a WEEK and obviously the spending limit was way less than how much we pay for rent! And act like it ain’t no big deal but if I find out some fishy going on and I see more payments from weeks ago and NOT during the Labor Day weekend we are definitely getting a lawyer to investigate! Oh and please get an ATM because why y’all don’t have one? we will be heading to NAVY FEDERAL glad they came in handy over the weekend or we would’ve been screwed!
Loved them at first until today /: went to deposit my check into my account and was told it’ll be on hold. I explained to her my son needs his medication so I need that money sooner than that (my son has a horrible eye infection that if left untreated could cause him to go blind) we had just left the ER. I showed her my sons eye and said I need that money and she just seemed like she didn’t care. She just said ooooo I’m sorry .. I told her why does it have to be on hold. She couldn’t even a legit answer. I told her my husband just cashed a 4K check last month and you the money was available immediately. My check is only 500 I don’t understand? She said there aren’t enough funds to cover the check.. there wasn’t enough funds to cover the 4K either. This is extremely upsetting, especially as a mom who’s child needs their medication. Shame on this bank. I wouldn’t bank here if you need your money sooner. I asked her if there was any other options she couldn’t think of anything. Great! Soon as my money deposits me and my husband have agreed to go to chase bank.
