I opened a new account at Frost today as a refugee from Bank of the Southwest/then MBank/then Compass/then BBVA/now PNC Bank – I am closing my accounts after 30+ years due to PNC’s recent takeover of BBVA and its institution of new systems and management that are not at all customer-focused. My visit at the River Oaks PNC location was totally exasperating. Emmanuel at Frost Bank Bellaire was friendly, professional, and very helpful and I’m happy to do business with a Texas company.
I went to the Bellaire location to cash my Frost Bank issued check and was told I couldn’t cash my check because the alleged manager Hayfa didn’t know me. In addition, my bank account didn’t have the same funds as the check. Let’s not forget a major storm had just recently caused destruction in the Houston, TX area.
The reason for the 3** rating is because of an inept teller. Shout out to the nice women giving out cookies and water tho. money you can get back however time you cannot get back and that is the reason for this.
I came small issue (what I would consider “small” and cut the teller lying to me to say that person writing the check had to be here in person. Is complete fiction that I was being force-fed and the account holder said he’s never had to do that before so don’t be surprised if someone profiles you here but their heads because you getting money and their jobs getting taken over by robots.
In all fairness the issue was resolved with both parties satisfied.
This location is absolutely horrible. They are NEVER busy. And the two customers they have in the bank every now and then, requires 2 employees to assist the customer. Every one is sitting around shooting the breeze with other employees. If you need “one” just one simple thing done and press for time,….. DO NOT come to this location. Absolutely HORRIBLE!!!! I would drive out further and go to another location.
Worst bank ever…. If you need help with any finances please take it to a different location.
The reps here are unbothered and don’t care if you have a lot of questions.
