Every single time we walk into our bank, it’s at least an hour and we leave frustrated because they can’t ever help us with what we need. Can’t even get a voided check… not this location specifically, just the whole business. An hour of our day wasted and it took 3 employees to say “we can’t get you a voided check because your account wasn’t opened here”. It’s the absolute bare minimum for a bank to help with DIRECT DEPOSIT FOR YOUR JOB…. I’m literally baffled at how bad this is. I’ve been with IBC since I was a kid and it’s so bad we have to switch.
I am closing my account and moving my funds to another bank TODAY! I make an appointment the previous day to meet with the bank manager ‘Carlos” at the Kirby branch at 11am. I mention to him that I will be driving from very far so would really appreciate if he could meet with me personally and answer a few questions about my business account.
I walk in at 11.01am and ask for Carlos. The receptionist tries to track him down and then says “sorry, he is missing in action”. Just then, someone from the bank says “he just stepped out”. After 20 minutes or so, I walk up to the receptionist and tell her that I have come from far and that i have another meeting to go to. So, please page Carlos and tell him I am still waiting. So she takes out a card and calls him. She then tells me that he is going to be another 10 minutes late so why don’t you meet with Nancy. So I walk up to her and get seated.
Nancy was the most unfriendly and unwelcoming person I have ever met!! She seemed very BORED with her job!! She did not make any eye contact with me and kept looking over my shoulders and observing someone else!
I tried asking her a few questions and she said ” sorry, my mind is blank, could you repeat that question?” which is when I told her “no need, I made my decision”!! I am not banking with IBC ever again!! They obviously don’t value their customers!!!
I am extremely frustrated with Ibc. you call their office (the number to the local office) only to be told they’re transferring you to the customer service line but there’s no way to call customer service directly. The wait is always at least 5 min. Their hours are from 8:30-5:30 so if you work 8-6 then you’re not able to talk to anyone. If the operator transfers you to an associate, the phone rings for 1 minute and no one answers. Most office are closed on Saturdays so you can’t go on weekends. I deposited a check on Tuesday and was told that it would be posted today and it’s not posted yet. I am traveling out of the country tomorrow and have no money because they haven’t posted the check to my account. It’s obvious that IBC does not care about their customers because they do not offer support outside of banking hours.
if i could give less than one stars i would!!!! i’ve worked in customer service all my life and they have terrible customer service. what happened to catering to the customer? especially when i’m trusting them with my hard earned money. i can’t speak for everyone, but the few employees that helped me were incompetent and racist! i had to literally do everything just for them to give me my funds even threatened to have security called on me. the ladies helping me out were super passive aggressive and then were shocked when i gave them a taste of their own medicine. will be finding another company to bank with asap!!! we work hard for our money and we should be able to have funds available to us.
Mr.Salas provided me with outstanding service. Very well informed and didn’t mind at all walking me through the various options provided by IBC. I recommend asking for him and his services with IBC bank.
