    2 things happened. One I went in to open a CD and Kimberlynn helped me. She is amazing and smart and showed me everything I needed to know and then some! She made me want to bank there!

    #2…. I called bc I had a complaint and the Bank manager called me back and I told her my complaint and she took me serious and treated me with respect. Well, turns out I was wrong and misinformed. She ended up calling me back and told me what had happened. I quickly apologized and told her thank you for the follow up! She was so professional when she could have really rubbed it in my face! My friend and I will be going to this bank now and I suggest everyone give this bank a chance! I really appreciated how they handled everything from start to finish! PLUS they have the best CD promotion…. 5 months for 5%!! It is the best I have found!

    I used this bank for years. SSA retirement recipient, direct deposit. My husband died May 2024. Dept of Labor kept paying him by mistake. Didn’t know any better, used the money in our joint account to pay our house note. Filed for relief with the DOL, and while my application was pending, U.S. Treasury erroneously sent a reclamations request to get the money back. Just a few days after that my application for relief was approved, and the U.S. Treasury notified Cadence Bank they were canceling the request for reclamation. Cadence Bank refused to unlock the account or release the money. Both the DOL and Treasury Dept contacted the bank again and let them know that the request had been canceled and my money should be released back to me. The bank manager at the Gatesville location told the DOL agent to kick rocks, and the reclamations dept of Cadence bank (whom the bank manager told me and the DOL rep that we were not allowed to know the contact info for) simply ignored both requests by the U.S. Treasury to cancel the collections. Then their reclamations dept proceeded to send a memo to the branch manager with a statement along the lines of “Cadence Bank’s reclamations employees know federal law better than the feds do”, and informed us all to kick rocks.
    An FTC complaint was originally filed, and we were only told 3 things:
    1. The other federal agencies involved in this were never contacted during the investigation for testimonies.
    2. Only the bank manager with Cadence bank was contacted.
    3. They closed the case in the bank’s favor based solely off what the bank manager told them (aka they lied to the feds).

    It’s been months and they still have my account locked with the $1200 still inside it. I’m 80yo and I have to receive paper checks in the mail that I must take to the store and have cashed, just to pay my bills.
    So, my husband died and left me with nothing, then Cadence Bank robbed me of what little I had left using the reclamation as an excuse to do it. They stone-walled 2 federal agencies then lied to a 3rd.
    All in all I’d trust named brand products purchased from Wish than I’d ever recommend anyone trust this bank with their money.
    P.S.
    They’re welcome to threaten to sue me for libel, but I’d be glad if they would open up an avenue in which I could have a legal right to obtain ALL OF THEIR DISCOVERY documentation on the incident. I’m sure at least a few federal agencies would love to get their hands on it.

    I went to the drive through to deposit a check. The teller was so rude. She didn’t address me with one single word – “hello,” “thank you for banking with Cadence,” or “have a nice day,” nothing. I’ve never had a bank teller that refused to say anything to me at all. A terrible representative for the bank. Her job should be on the line.

    If I was able I would give this pos bank zero stars. Not the local branch employees. No real notice on transfer from national to them, dont get the new cards out in a timely fashion. On top of that they canceled my cards and I still have yet to receive my new ones. I’ve missed payments on bills and my car ins because I can’t access my OWN flipping money. Using my bank account doesn’t even work, the payments are declined. And I’m not excited about getting my cards because my mother’s card doesn’t work half the time anyway and is declined even though there is plenty of money. What a worthless bank

    This bank is absolutely garbage. I have had at least one problem with them every month since they took over from national. If you call them it’s never their fault or nothing they can do. Example today 4/22/23 I deposited a check from my family’s ranch account to my account, both accounts are at the Gatesville cadence office, and they can’t have the money in until Monday. They said if I had done a transfer it would have been the same day. What is the difference when both accounts are in the same bank. I will be closing my account with them the next day I have available during the week. Highly recommend you consider a different bank with better customer service. One that isn’t so large that they can just treat customers how they want.
