I recently visited Cadence Bank to cash a check from a friend who is a member, although I am not. Despite having done this before without issue, I was surprised to learn from Candace that there would be a $5 fee due to my non-membership. When I inquired about this policy, Candace was unable to provide a clear explanation or show any written documentation. Her demeanor came across as rude and unprofessional, especially considering her role in customer service. I expressed concern that without a policy in place, there was a risk of unauthorized charges, raising the possibility of employee misconduct. I firmly believe that when taking money for transactions, employees should be obligated to present clear bank policies to customers. Additionally, the lack of intervention from what seemed to be the bank manager was disappointing. Eventually, Candace provided a flyer outlining the policy, but the overall experience left me feeling frustrated and unlikely to consider banking with Cadence Bank in the future.

If there was a 0 stars option I would give them that. They did not handle this merge right at all from national United to bancorpsouth. The lady told me that I could not use more than $200 with my old card but they are sending me a new one and had an old address, then they said they would send it so it would be here the next day, I still don’t have a card and I have bills overdue that now I can’t pay with MONEY I HAVE.

The copperas cove branch is the WORST. If I could give 0 stars I would. They don’t deserve the 1 star. I have a letter signed by the lead branch manager on my account provided by my husband that I will be in weekly w his paycheck since he does not have an account & is not on my account. Every week I’ve tried to deposit his check in my account per his permission & proof of permission on my account, it’s nothing but problems! & the “supervising” teller is an old hag with a stick up her rear. She’s rude, she’s entitled & she’s lazy.

The merger has not been good. Wait times are longer, probably because so many people are having problems. It took over 30 minutes in the drive thru the other day. I was late for an appointment because I was sandwiched between cars and couldn’t get out. The way debits post online are awful. It was showing 2 “atm withdrawal” transactions pending and my husband and I started panicking because we don’t withdraw large amounts from the ATM, nor have we used the atm since before the merger. They were not ATM transactions, but purchases made at stores. I really hope this is just part of the transition and things start to smooth out.

This is the worst Bank I have ever experienced in my life. I have had my bank account for over 26 yrs when it was National United.
Friday I find out they closed my account without any warning in April. No letter, no email, no phone call. NO PROFESSIONALISM. I talked to a rude customer service person who said they mailed a letter. No you did not. I have not received any communication from this bank. No bank statements. Nothing.
I receive an Army annuity into that Bank account and it was sent back to DFAS. Luckily we have my husband’s income or they could have have made us homeless as it takes months to fix this. If I had known they were going to close this account I could have given the Army my new bank account. Over 26yrs or more and they did not care. I will be warning people not to deal with this bank.
