Alfredo was the representative that handled our initiating accounts. He was extremely professional and patient. He answered all my questions, thoroughly and timely. I hope we have a good future together.

Facility is nice, people are nice and capable as well.
    True story.
I sell one of their members a car. They bring me a check for $8500 made out to me and the buyer? What the heck? I am suppose to let him have the car and then hope I can transact this check? He signs the check and I go to PenFed facility the next day asking to cash. This check is issued by them the day before. It took manager approval to get past the signature thing. Then it was over the amount they are able to cash. Had to call corporate for approval. Then we had to wait so corporate could look in via security cameras to watch two people count this money 3 times. I had to give up 2 id’s, sign 3 different times.
45 minutes if my life for should be a 10 minute transaction. Customers behind me forced to wait longer than they should.
This is not a real financial institution. They don’t trust customers, their employees or managers. To add to the ridiculousness of this, I have been a member for 30 years.
That won’t be the case much longer.

I never have problems with the harker heights or the on post locations. I get my checks by direct deposit and it’s always posted in a timely manner.

Being disabled I mostly use only drive through however when we arrive there is barely any wait time and we’re on our way in about ten minutes. Longer if lots of people waiting ahead of me.

I show up at 3pm on a thursday. Knowing they should be open. Was riding my motorcycle and didn’t have my debit card on me, but needed to deposit cash to pay a bill. The weather was sunny and beautiful.

They closed right before I showed up due to “Inclement weather” let me repeat, I was riding my motorcycle in gorgeous weather.

The guy came out and I asked if even the drive-thru was open and he said no because there was a thunderstorm coming later on in the day after normal closing hours. Thunderstorms arrival time expected at 8pm well after normal business hours.

So I had to drive all the way back to my house 6 miles in traffic and come back to an ATM with my debit card, on my motorcycle in this supposedly life-threatening weather, risking my life and wellbeing. So Im out .67 cents of premium fuel and an hour of time to work around a financial institution that just wanted to close early for any excuse or reason they could find.

This is Texas, we do occasionally get thunderstorms and no other business closes for such events 5 hours early.

Mr Leonard Kim at the Harker Heights location went above and beyond with superb customer service. He help me with my account issues and sent up the required paperwork around 10am by 5pm he got the alert that everything were accepted. He then called me back by the end of the day to give me the update on the issue. Thank you very much. This young man is awesome.
