I can’t say enough good things about the loan officer Miguel. He was able to offer a loan to my daughter who is a first-time buyer that put her in a nicer neighborhood than a previous offer with another bank. He was extremely prompt throughout the whole process with no hiccups, no delays, and immediate and easy-to-understand responses to my emails. I have purchased a few homes before and this was by far the easiest and smoothest purchase. My realtor was Maria Carr with Century21 and she was also outstanding. This was a match made in heaven. We are so happy and thank you so much to this bank for making my daughter’s dream come true!
I drove around for over an hour and went to 5 different banks, looking for a bank that would replace a 50$ bill that my 9 month old got ahold of and ripped slightly, (not all the way ripped) . No one would accept the bill due to the slight rip because i did not have an account with them, and when I finally found myself in tears I started calling places to see who could help. I called here and a beautiful young lady answered and eased my stress and said she would happily help me. Every bank I went to wanted me to get an account with them just to help me. This place was so amazing that I spoke with my spouse about me opening an account with them and I will be back tomorrow to do just that. 10/10 recommend. They were not worried about gaining a customer they simply wanted to help me. You just can’t find good people like this these days. I am blown away by how many people turned me away because I didn’t bank with them, but also by how fast this bank was to offer help. Can’t wait to see what else they offer with me getting an account with them!

Southstar Bank is a breath of fresh air in the world of banking. The entire staff at the Harker Heights branch is extremely professional and friendly. They know their customers’ names as each customer walks in. They make me feel valued. Additionally, with the security measures that Southstar has implemented, I feel very confident using their online banking system. It has a few signon and security steps that our former bank (a VERY large international bank) didn’t have. I strongly recommend Southstar Bank!
The South Star bank in Harker Heights Texas has an amazing staff that exemplify professionalism. From answering the phones, opening up accounts, or deposits the staff is knowledgeable and thorough.
