I would not recommend ever getting an auto loan with them. I refinanced my car loan to get a lower APR and lower payments per month with them. It has been an awful experience they don’t care about any life experiences you have been through covid does not matter either. They will not help you defer a payment whatsoever. And it’s an awful experience trying to set up my bank in order to make a payment. Just to tell you it takes a few days to do, so you can’t make the payment on the day of or just before. Overall don’t recommend them when you can get better elsewhere.
In setting up two (2) financial instruments with Samuel Anstee of Capitol Credit Union on Thursday, May 23, 2024, Mr. Anstee was very thorough, courteous and professional in the way he answered all the questions and concerns I had. Please retain this individual as you expand your employee base.
My experience in getting an auto loan was exceptional – at least the Capital Credit Union part – the Tesla side, well, . . . Shout out to loan officer Nathan for going above and beyond, David Craig for ensuring all went according to plan, and Lavaca manager Nidya for her skilled input. Loan officer Marco pinch-hit and made sure I had what I needed prior to picking up my new car. Local credit unions are the way to go. Small town kindness, big city knowledge. Ya’ll are the best.

Went to open an account with a smaller CU and no regrets! Minus a small mix up with my birthday we got it cleared and on my way. Marni and Sam were very kind and knowledgeable. Genuinely enjoyed chatting it up with them! I would say the app for as small as they are I consider to be more modern than other Cu’s I’ve used. Small but mighty is how I see this CU. Happy to be a member.
