    Fidelity has wasted 2 1/2 years of my life! They have no interest in protecting their clients from fraud, I have been lied to more times than I can count and then in the end denied my claim because the bank in question would not respond – for 2 years? We have been with Fidelity for 30 years and have been treated like we do not matter, we will take our money to an investment firm that cares about the client, not just the $$$.

    I am very pleased with service and staff as they were very nice polite and quick, (even though I was unable to complete tasks due to required setting up/tying in of banking accounts – not Fidelity’s fault) however what could have been better is if customers were provided with a clear step by step process covering how to open / initial accessing of online accounts for the first time i.e. what is your username by default from the company, what is your default password etc. so you can go in to change and set up. Or even the process to initially set up those items -that was left to figure out with calling in for additional customer help.

    I had a great experience depositing a check. During lunch time as well. Walked in, registered, got a beverage and waited 5 min in a swanky waiting area. The rep completed the operation within a few minutes and answered my questions. The whole experience was an apex of efficiency.

    INVESTOR BEWARE!
    I entrusted this company with my investments and in wiring money to buy a house. THEY SENT MORE MONEY TO THE TITLE COMPANY THAN I’D TOLD THEM TO AND IF THE TITLE COMPANY WASN’T SO HONEST (THEY REFUNDED THE OVER-PAYMENT BY FIDELITY) I’D BE OUT MORE THAN $5,000 AND NOT EVEN KNOW IT. Worse – when I complained about this outrageous and unconscionable mistake, I was told by two Fidelity managers that I was partly to blame because I signed off on the mistake.
    Let’s make this clear. This is what happened:
    I first called my broker at Fidelity, telling her exactly how much Fidelity was to wire to the title company.
    I then emailed her, telling her once again exactly how much Fidelity was to wire to the title company.
    The next thing I know, she tells me she’s going to be out of the office when the transfer would be made, so she transferred the duty to an assistant I’d never met before.
    Her assistant then requested the closing documents from me for some strange reason – at which point I instantly feared he’d misread the documents and send the wrong amount, WHICH IS EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENED.
    So he calls me while I’m in the middle of a move from one house to the other, when I did not have my reading glasses, and asks me to sign off of the amount he was going to send. I told him immediately that it sounded too high a figure but without my reading glasses I could not re-read what I’d already sent to my broker to verify exactly what they would send. SO I TOLD HIM TO RE-READ THE EMAIL I’D SENT MY BROKER TO GET THE AMOUNT RIGHT – WHICH HE OBVIOUSLY DIDN’T DO, BECAUSE HE WIRED TOO MUCH, MORE THAN $5,000 TOO MUCH, MORE THAN I’D TOLD MY BROKER TO SEND.
    AND THEN THE FIDELITY MANAGERS HAD THE AUDACITY TO TELL ME THAT MADE ME PARTLY COMPLICIT IN THE AWFUL AND UNFORGIVABLE MISTAKE THEIR EMPLOYEE MADE.
    I’ve NEVER had a brokerage company make this kind of mistake before. But I would have forgiven them had they made good on it, somehow, at the very least with a proper apology – NOT the skeezy replies they gave me.
    So I’m moving my money elsewhere when I get the chance to research the move properly and I’d advise you, too, to find a better broker to do business with.
