    Great people – HORRIBLE BANK!
I had BB&T for 5 years as my business checking. It was 4.75 years too long.
The people are wonderful but the bank itself is horrible. I can’t tell you how many times I had to come in to get my phone number corrected on my account. Or when I got a new business credit card – they couldn’t figure out how to connect it to my checking so I could pay the bill online.
When we did figure it out – I had to submit a form to be the administrator of my own credit card. I can go on and on… not surprised Great Hills branch closed. I suspect they’ll all go under soon.

Horrible customer service. After I presented a check to cash from my customer, I inquired about opening an account. I was bumped for someone in the drive thru. I am obviously an American citizen, I presented my ID. The seller is from India or somewhere, she profiled me as I walked in. I have worked in the banking industry and have cashed checks at this location before. I HAVE NEVER been treated do rudely by a teller or her LAZY manager before. It was very upsetting, I hope THEY get deported!!! If you don’t like average money Americans, go away!

I have been banking with BB&T every since they had bought out some Citibank branches in Texas. Never had they required my ID to deposit cash into my account eventhough I presented my bankcard. What if I would have just deposited that same amount through Venmo??? Then I asked for a check registry and the teller gave me 1. Well 1 registry might last me 2-3 weeks and I don’t go to the branch that often because I live all the way in far east Austin and there aren’t any branches less than 15 miles so I would like to conduct all my business with as less trips possible. I have been debating switching banks and maybe it’s time.

If I could leave a 0 I would. Since the merger bbt has slowly gone downhill. I get it mergers change things up and new directions are forged. I was patient because of the branch I opened with had some amazing people who made the transition tolerable at best. They were trying though.

Coming to the Austin area this branch is the reason I am closing my account. You held a check that forced a late payment that you then refused to cover. You then wouldn’t cash a check for me after I was told this is how you stop money from being frozen.

The person who barely speaks English… and I don’t mean to be rude about describing them in that way. But they desperately need a course on client service. Your tone and verbiage is awful.

The person behind the counter. Retire already if you hate your job and don’t care about working in a front facing position.

It’s no surprise how things are after you meet the new branch manager. They are so in over their heads, I can’t imagine having to go to work everyday knowing that was my boss.

I’ve been with you for 5 years. Sent family and friends and clients. Done as of today.

So my husband and I bring the 3 checks we have to cash em. Simple enough the checks are written from a BB&T bank (outta state) but still from the same bank. But thr teller says 1st that she has to verify that they are from that bank she does, then says it wasn’t verified by the appropriate person, and then says the only way to cash the checks is to deposit them by opening 2 new accounts. Nope don’t think so and isn’t illegal, the worst bank ever. 1 start only cuz u can’t leave 0
