Rates are good just like any CU. Customer service and training of staff is terrible. Too small so if someone is “out” the tasks just doesn’t get done. Don’t expect too much. Called for a day and a half to resolve the matter before I could get someone on the line to tell me after several excuses that she forgot. I also sent three messages with no returned response. Asked to speak with VP and was left on hold and I had to hang up to get back to work. I have had the same issue repeatedly and also our debt cards are constantly getting compromised. I will be looking to move our accounts immediately since we no longer live in Amarillo.
Been with CFCU since 2019. Happy with their service. Reps are great!
My parents have used this bank for so many years without problems. I’ve used this bank for at least 5 years with no problem, and excellent customer service. When you come in they know you as a person, not an account number. It’s just sad to see all of these 1 star reviews from petty people that don’t bank with them, they just can’t read a sign and park accordingly. Thank you guys for excellent service and I hope your rating gets balanced back out.
After going to a baseball game in Downtown Amarillo, we made the mistake of parking at City Federal. Figuring since it was after hours and literally NOBODY would be going into the building, it would be okay to park in the parking lot. Nope. When we made our way back to our car we noticed it had been towed and that the signs posted were out of the way and in a spot nobody would notice. Our mistake. This credit union is not community oriented, and I have never had or will ever have an account at City Federal after something like this. Seriously, it was the stadium opener, and people are trying to figure out where to go and where to park, so most decent companies would give a pass for the first game, not City Federal. If they or their members were ever wondering why City Federal had only one branch, there’s your sign. Would not recommend doing business here. Must’ve had somebody looking for cars to tow since a light in the building was on, but didn’t have the audacity to clear drivers out.
Edit – Since you guys responded, that’s great you guys allow your members to park there free of charge. Post it. Another simple solution instead of towing people off would have that same “security” company checking if you had a sticker PRIOR to parking. Wow. How simple of a solution would that be. But no, instead City Federal lacks the skill of planning and it shows with your one run down dilapidated branch. Again, would not recommend City Federal.
I do not recommend getting a loan thru them. I’ve had an issue with them since December for their “skip a payment”,that they offer and they lost the paper work, had me do a subsequent action form to delay my payment and was still charged a late fee even though on the paperwork I was to pay on the 31st which I did. Also when I call to speak to Melanie/loan officer she doesn’t take my call, I go up there and they are at lunch past 1:00 pm and when I do speak to them they act as if I was the one to mess up the due dates and give me the run around;worst customer service ever.
