Stephanie is a very great pawnbroker. She always acknowledges me and treats me with respect whenever my family and I visit the store. She carefully explains the process and meets my needs, exceedingly. I will continue to do business with her in the future.
Every time I stop by this location 🙏 the staff is always amazing, they always are very helpful and friendly, very customer friendly, love the staff, today I stopped by to buy some tools and Mr. Dalton was the one to help me. This guy right here has the right attitude always in a good mood and very helpfu.l 🙏 thank y’all to all the staff, y’all are amazing keep up the good work.
In my experience most pawn shops are very rigid in the way they handle customer service and I don’t blame them given the kinds of business they conduct and the kind of people they often have to deal with, especially in certain locations like east Austin. However, my experience with the two young women at this E 7th st location exceeded any and all expectations I might have had.
To be brief, today was the absolute last day that I could put $ down on a couple of pawn loans or they would be lost and some of these items are irreplaceable to me because of what their sentimental value means to me. Of course I know its my fault for risking them on a pawn loan but CashAmerica has always been the pawn to offer the most $ essentially the most fair appraisal of item value for the loan, but I digress….
So there I was knocking on the locked door of CashAmerica on east 7th st around 7:03pm when the hours clearly state they are closed at 7:00pm. Knowing I was most likely the one on the other end of the line, they still answered the phone when I called from the front door and had the decency and patience to let me explain my situation. At this point I had already begun making peace with the possibility that I had screwed up and lost something precious to me( items from my recently deceased father that were also precious to him) when to my amazement Alicia stated that she would let me in to make the payment…I literally had tears in my eyes because of her kind actions despite her being under zero obligation to help me in this way. It meant assisting a customer after the store was closed and the doors locked to anyone not already inside thereby possibly extending the amount of time it would take her and the other woman to get to go home. It meant providing more than peak superior customer service, but rather demonstrating an act of kindness and understanding toward a complete stranger of a customer, even thinking of it now brings a tear to my eye just as it had when she said she was willing to help me. What’s more, there was ZERO negativity, resentment, shortness, or any other kind of attitude one might expect when being put-out in such a way. On the contrary, Alicia and the other woman were professional, exuded positivity of attitude, and generally more kind and pleasant than anyone else I’ve ever dealt with in a pawn shop environment.
This experience did more than bring immense relief as I was able to save my loan items, it moved me to be blessed by such an act of human kindness and empathy in the least likely of places. I won’t forget how I was helped by Alicia today nor will I forget her willingness to simply listen to my situation and actually care, and it will be a source of inspiration for me when I’m put out by customers at my own customer service centered job.
Because of the superior customer service I got from Alicia et al. I am able to breathe a sigh of relief having been able to keep my items, but so much more than that I will be a loyal customer for life.
Best value appraisal of items for $ loan amount, and customer service from Alicia that genuinely moved me to my core at a time when I really really needed that, so thanks, and anyone considering alternative shops, forget it, they’re mostly staffed by unwavering jerks who won’t give you even close to a fair value much less go out of their way even in the slightest to help anyone in the way I was helped today, most close early if slow and don’t care AT ALL the repercussions so y’all, don’t even waste your time, hit up Alicia at CashAmerica and you’ll be treated like a person, something so simple yet so lacking in today’s world.
P.S. I sincerely hope whomever at corporate reads my review in its entirety does something to demonstrate to these amazing employees that their customer service is valued and rewarded in whatever way y’all do.
