5 Reviews on “Loan Science”
After recieving multiple calls a day with no voice mail, i called. Guy answers phone and only stated his first name and not who he was calling for, i asked where are they located and he said austin, tx and i told him the caller id says blacksburg,va. He hung up fast.
Loan science has been known for violating the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act.
I’ve just been contacted by them, they used a 480 area code which is Arizona not Texas. I live in Colorado. The loans I do have are all on early auto pay and are all ahead of schedule, there’s no reason for then to contact me, but they have. The whole thing is very scammy. I’ve looked over all the reviews on here, and everyone seems to think the same except for the one person talking about their general loan, fyi, if someone doesn’t have a job, their student loans in specific are allowed to be hulted until they have an income again. But one should talk to the loan provider directly never a 3rd party, or someone contacting you through phone calls alone, if there were ever any issues with a loan or payments, expect email, and or direct mail, and MAYBE a call later on if you haven’t payed it or fixed whatever the problem is. Never trust just a single phone call from a random caller, not even the loan provider directly.
Received a letter regarding default of my student loan but I lost my paper work. I called the number provided and connected with a young man named Drew. He was awesome! I I wish I could tell his boss how great he did 😊
I have been kicking my student loan can down the road and avoiding calls because I had a major health issue that has caused me not to be able to work. I was embarrassed to be so far behind ($4000). No one wants to be a deadbeat.
Drew helped connect me to my loan agency to get a forebearence and also a deferral based on income. THIS COST NOTHING!!! I am so glad I called the number and avoided going into default.
Folks, sometimes life throws you curveballs and you have to choose between high loans and eating. I never planned to have a brain tumor and to be out of work. If you are on the verge of defaulting your loans or can’t make the house high payments, it is worth it to see if you can get the payments lowered for awhile. It cost NOTHING.
Going into default can negitively impact your credit. Please, PlEASE don’t stick your head in the sand because student loans never go away until you pay them off.
I hope this helps at least one person.
SCUMBAGS . Told me I had a outstanding student loan when I never went to college. The only thing that is legit about them is there a scam. Beware of these predators
These people are a collection agency. Period. They built their website to make them look benevolent but they use the same shady tactics as every other debt collector: calling from fake numbers with your area code, not leaving voicemails and calling the co-signers before they call the actual debtor. I’m sure they don’t care about negative reviews but don’t believe anything they say on their website. If they call you they want money and they’ll say anything to get you to pay.
