    Do not like the new drive through, could not get any 50 dollar bills, the id spot is way too high for a normal car,and did not like the screen is large and tells others what I am doing. It is like new coke back in the day ,thanks for asking the customer what they wanted.I liked the old way.

    I was a customer for probably 20 years but I am now disgusted with this bank. Their credit card collections practices are predatory. I got two months behind on my credit card after I lost my job and they froze my checking account on Saturday of holiday weekend. I couldn’t make a payment or get it resolved until Tuesday. My bad for getting behind but I didn’t realize they could “offset” your checking account. This made it impossible for me to pay my rent on time, cost me late fees, and multiple other issues. I made a payment and arranged for them to withdraw more on the first and assumed it was just a coincidence that it was on the holiday.

    That is, until it happened again on the next holiday weekend. I knew it couldn’t be collections because we had an agreement and they had withdrawn 259 as agreed on the first two weeks prior. I spoke to multiple people on the phone Sunday who said your card us fine, keep trying it must be timing out at the vendor. Ended up having to leave my grocery cart because my card got declined the grocery store when I followed their advice. I was finally able to go in when they opened on Tuesday after rolling quarters all weekend, and turns out they don’t know about any agreement. I guess it was just a coincidence that 259 was the exact amount I had said they could withdraw a month before? So once again it appears they were holding my checking account hostage and wanted another 259 right then. Extortion. I guess they could see my little bit of money in my account so they jumped on it. As I said, predatory. If you’re already having a hard time they will make it worse, even if you make good faith efforts to resolve. Avoid at all costs.

    I’ve had a bank account with velocity for over 10 years and my husband over 6 years we went to deposit a insurance check to fix our car from a legit insurance company and they put a 6 day hold on it ! I thought it was a requirement from the bank no it is mangers discretion well its been over 6 days and the check is still on hold! Becareful if you are depending on your money to fix something or pay bills velocity might just decide you don’t need it right away and hold it …

    Pros: Friendly service, Drive Thru, online banking, mobile app banking, plenty of parking. Customer phone service is easy to navigate and helpful. Provide many banking services and information.
    Cons: Arriving on the area, you might miss the entrance. Heavy traffic intersection, but depends on time of day. Only 6 area branches for banking (Austin, Round Rock, Cedar Park)

    Wow unbelievable my experience today! I have been a velocity member for 10 years and have never been treated with such poor customer service! I finally got to speak to the branch manager who was actually understanding and assured she would handle the bad experience, but the window teller up to the other so called managers I spoke to two, they were all terrible at their jobs. Will never visit this branch again.
