I did not enjoy using PLS Check Cashers.
I felt uncomfortable having to wait while employees told me they were creating a profile for me because it was my first time. I had to provide my social security number and phone number.
I had to continue waiting while they assured me multiple times that things just had to be verified.
The whole process just made me feel like I was being investigated or suspected of fraud.
I am not sure how confident I feel about this company having all of my sensitive information.
Even though I was informed, subsequent visits would not require such an indepth procedure ( I will not be allowed to cash another check until after the 7 day waiting period) I doubt I will be returning to this company should I need check cashing services in the future.
Had a great experience with a lady with Ramen noodle hair color, she was so helpful and nice. Not sure why anyone would have any negative reviews. Maybe that negative reviewer needs work on him self
It was an awful experience. I needed a check cashed because I don’t live here. I was renting an apartment and I got my refund. My bank is back home so I couldn’t deposit or cash it. I was treated like a criminal even after I showed the ladies the statement that said deposit refund. They took all my info and even took a picture. Then they called the issuing bank to verify. Which they did.
I will never go there. Supposedly the picture was because they were creating a profile. Needlessly since I’ll never be back. And my social security #. For what?
I’m a veteran and a retired peace officer. Now I know how criminals feel. And please don’t reply to this like you have to the previous complaints saying to give you all another opportunity. For what obviously you all haven’t learned anything. I understand you trying to protect your assets but does it have to be done at a customers expense.

When I visited this PLS, the first I’ve visited since moving to San Antonio, I received exceptional service. Keisha and Alan worked with me on cashing a check that was made out to me in my maiden name. They made the process as smooth as possible and were very professional. If you need your checks cashed, bill pay, or to send money go visit my friends on Austin HWY they will not disappoint! P.S look how clean this location is 🥰
