Best bank in town. They always greet me by name and with respect. Great staff and great service.
By far the worst bank I have ever done any type of business with. My father has used this bank for the last 9 years, so when i decided to try to build a home we went with this bank. Little did I know that this would unfold the most un-organized, un-professional, un-reliable process I have ever been a part of. Not only was I not told about a credit score blanket in the beginning of the process, but i was repeatedly told by Denise that everything would be OK and that I would have access to the loan by the 1st week of September.
See here is the thing, I do not have good credit, so when this process started I was VERY clear with Denise that this was the case. Denise Repeatedly told me and my Father, since he was a co-signer, that it was OK during the construction because my father is signing. We paid for an appraisal, $600, again being told that if the appraisal came back high enough we would be GRANTED the loan. The appraisal came back WELL over budget. Then the internal approvals started. Told by Denise that these all went well. Again, at this time I asked if there was any doubt the loan would not be approved, since I was spending money out of our pocket to move forward, and once again was TOLD NOPE, everything looks great and you should sign by next week and have money by the 1st week of September. Next week came around…. called on a Wednesday to see when we would sign. Was told she would know by the end of the day and that i would receive a phone call that evening about a time.. I asked YET AGAIN to see if there was anything I should be aware of and if the loan may not be approved, AGAIN WAS told everything looks great and we should sign soon. DENISE called my Father that evening and said, I will call you first thing in the am about what time you should all be here to sign on Thursday. Both my Father and I did not receive a phone call that next morning, so I called. This is when I asked to speak to Chris, Denise’s Boss and the second I hung up with the Bank Denise called me and said, If you call my Boss he will deny this loan. I asked Denise is my loan being denied? She told me that CHRIS now wants to deny the loan. Then called my Father and said it was due to my credit score.
Here is my issue, during this process i got to the point where i did not leave messages on Denise’s voicemail, simple because she did not return them. I called and spoke with this women on MULTIPLE occasions to find out if there was any issues I needed to be aware of so that I would not move forward with the construction of our home. She blatantly lied to me. It is too bad that the people in these positions do not take into account what their customers are going through and that clear and precise communication is all that is expected. This Bank, Denise and Chris all failed at treating a customer as a priority. Instead made the whole process just feel like we were yet another number. Due to this process I reached out to the president of the bank to ask for the $600 appraisal fee covered and was told not. I will NEVER suggest this bank to anyone EVER and when asked about my experiences i will do what i have done today, SHARE< SHARE< SHARE.
