I have cashed several checks at several locations for BOC. This was the first time we had cashed a check at the Driggs location. The teller was new and unsure of cashing a check so she went to the manager, Cricket. She took a look at my license, then glanced over at me then picked up a phone to call the people who wrote the checks! They answered and also thought it was odd that she’d be calling. They verified that I indeed got written a check and the manager approved the transaction. She had their number memorized and didn’t introduce herself as from the bank, but just her first name, suggesting that she knows them on a personal level. Only in Driggs would this happen to a brown dude! It has never happened anywhere else in the East Idaho Valley. Maybe that’s how they are supposed to do things but it definitely felt like I was the exception…
