Great customer service once available. A bit difficult for scheduling appointments, but employees were great to interact with for all personal banking needs thereafter.
On May 21, 2021 I tried to make an ATM deposit at the ATM on South Douglas Hwy in Gillette, WY. The ATM jammed up with one of my hundred dollar bills and and showed deposit function not available afterwards. I called and reported it. I fully expected it would be refunded after the ATM was investigated and issue resolved, but that was not the case. It is unclear why it was not reported by the tech and why it was not credited back to me. It is not a lot of money but it is very unprofessional, and in the end I’m out $100 and Wells Fargo is out a review, but life goes on.
Other issues: WF does not give very high ATM withdrawal limits and they have extremely long hold times on deposits.
In my opinion this bank is not for the regular Joe income earner. Local banks want your business and do better.
They complained to a manager because I did not call in a change order. The manager proceeded to tell me how much of an inconvenience I was to their operation and then still took 20 to 30 minutes just to get what little change that I needed.
Usually Wells Fargo can be a bit too corporate with an impersonal touch.
The Gillette branch is not that way. I did a deposit and a check was being placed on hold by Wells Fargo’s bots. Chelsea, the branch manager, swooped in to save the day—-going out of her way the following business day to call and verify funds, thereby making them available to me immediately.
It was a big deal. It would have been a 2 week hold on money I had to have for my business to continue operating. Chelsea is an absolute hero. 🤩
Worst bank to deal with!!!!!!!!!! have to make a appointment for EVERYTHING and they are never available customer service sucks and rude. Banked with them over 14 years impeccable credit and will not even consider a loan
