If I could give a zero to this hell hole I would. Took a dazzling 18K white gold $4000.00 engagement ring to try to get measly $200.00 loan. It was from a previous engagement so I’m selling it on EBay for $3,000.00 in box and everything, so I obviously wanted it back. The first girl that helped me was a young Hispanic girl who didn’t know, so she asked the older Hispanic lady. The lady said she would need to scratch the ring. Confident, I allowed her to. She didn’t scratch the ring, she gouged a chunk out of it claiming that if it “changed color” she couldn’t accept it. She works at a pawn shop and doesn’t know that white gold is yellow gold? But it’s just white because they rhodium plate it because it fades to yellow with time?
She then looked at the younger girl and the girl said “I’m not going to take it”.
Where did they find these dumb broads?

A year ago I took my daughter’s Travis Scott original Nike SB dunks laces, in box and everything (worth $2,200.00 at the time) – the dudes here only offered me a $150.00 loan because I guess feared they weren’t original PLUS I had to add another pair of Jordans to pawn.
I went back a month later to get them back of course!
These people are so ignorant they wouldn’t know what’s real if it hit them in the face!
Took my engagement ring to Cash America on 249 and no issues for my $200 loan. Don’t waste your time here. These people are beyond ridiculous. 🤦🏻♀️
If you like to read HONEST reviews, read mine. I’ve never shopped at any pawnshops, matter of fact when I came in it was honestly just to look. The staff was friendly from the second I walked in and made sure to check in on me as I looked around. I ended up really liking a laptop and actually putting it on layaway, and they actually gave me a REALLY decent price considering the brand. A lot of the reviews I’ve read so far just seem like it’s from people who wanted way too much for their items, take in mind this is a PAWN shop. If you want more, then go sell it yourself on Offer Up or Marketplace, simple!
As for MYSELF however, I loved the customer service I received and am STILL receiving since I came back and actually looked at cameras as well (oops), I’ll probably be making another purchase again soon. They also cleaned a very important necklace for me while I was waiting for a camera to charge, it’s clear to me that they do care about their customers, they’re just not gonna deal with any dis-respectfulness, and honestly they don’t have to just because you’re the customer. 🙂

I have been a customer since 2015 when this shop first opened and they had been pretty reliable up until recent. I have made both purchases and loans from this shop and scored some pretty nice stuff. My gold Michael Kors watch is one of my favorite things I’ve purchased from here. I had several things on loan with them and I tried to stay up to date on all my loans. I’ve even refinanced my loans but they always kept me up to date on my items. I’ve never lost anything until now. I had been Following up on several items making sure I didn’t lose them. I called today to discuss getting my last 2 items out and they tell me not only was it pulled 2 days ago but that someone had already put it on layaway and there was nothing I could do to get it back. When I asked to speak to the manager Ralph, who I thought I had a good rapport with, he was very nonchalant and apathetic to my distress. I work in customer service and I know that the key to successful business is having good relationships with people and your customers. He showed me that there is no value for people at this place. They just care about the money they make off of your stuff. They have lost a good customer for life.
This Bayou Pawn is very unpleasant and some of the staff is very rude….I been there a few times and I hate the service I get there…ONCE IM DONE WITH MY PURCHASES I WILL NOT BE BACK AT THIS PARTICULAR BAYOU PAWN #733…..and some Sundays its closed when the schedule clearly reads it should be open….I have visited the store on SHEPARD 😲 great deal very friendly staff and better customer service and extremely great merchandise…..So If you are looking for better deals/prices and quality services with merchandise that’ll keep yu coming back visit THE BAYOU PAWN ON SHEPARD NXT TO THE CAR LOT AND THE LA MICHOACANA MARKET….
They discrimination on race and act like people in need the lady with the Gucci glasses is so disrespectful and will give better to Hispanics and not African Americans!!!
