Do not go there! Do not apply any loan there! They run my credit and offered a loan, never gave me a deadline or due date to respond. while preparing my documents, they asked me to reaply because I past the 10 days period to respond. When I reaplied, ofcourse they run my credit again which decreased my score 30 point down again! Then they called me saying sorry we cant offer the same amount as the first time and they offered me almost 30% of what I was approved unitially.
Now I have to apply somewhere else with a lower credit score! They just wasted my time and damaged my credit score!
Do not trust them!
I banked with BBVA Compass for voer 15 years and something bad happened over there in the last 4 years that made me close all of my accounts. They have tried to increase their profit by outsourcing the entire operation to computer algorithms that remove any personal customer service. Few examples:
1. After communicating with a phone robot to identify myself which took about 4 minutes, I was put on hold for 3 minutes and then passed between three customer service representatives until I finally got in touch with the right person. I had to re-explain the purpose of my call each time. Very frustrating. This is the routine experience.
2. I’ve been trying to close out a credit card with Compass for over 8 months now. I disputed a charge and after 4 months Compass concluded the charge was not authorized and reversed the charge. But in the mean time, they placed late fees, interest charges and reversal of payment attempt charges totaling about $400, all of which were related to the fradulent charge. I was told from the inception of the dispute that all such charges would be reversed if I won the dispute, which I did. But then when the charges were not reversed I had to contact customer service and, again, go through the 15-20 minute delay described above, just to get someone on the phone. That person of course was powerless to reverse the charges so I had to then set up a call with a manager. You’ve been there before and know how frustrating this can me.
When I discussed this horrible service, etc. with friends who banked there, they also told me they had closed their accounts due to horrible service. BBVA just doesn’t understanding that the reduction in labor costs (call center is in South America) is actually causing serious damage to their customer relationships.
3. I have even gone in person to talk to the manager at the Buffalo location (Andrew Martinez) on at least 3 ocassions over the last 6 months to try to get face to face contact and get my concerns addressed. I’m always told the same thing: I’ll look into it and get back to you. Then he never calls back. The latest incident: I called and discussed the issue with him 10 days ago and was promised a call back. Never got it. I just called now (two minutes ago) and was told he was busy and he’ll call me later. I’m not holding my breath. I just want to pay the balance of the accounts that are legitimate and close the credit card account.
I would highly discourage anybody considering doing business wtih BBVA Compass to going elsewhere. There are plenty of banks out there who are willing to treat you like a human being. I don’t want to deal with phone robots anymore.
I was pulled over in the BBVA-PNC merger. BBVA was acceptable but I am very unimpressed with the PNC staff, software, and systems. The transfer from my BBVA accounts into PNC was a nightmare and I do not like going to this location. I am now in the process of moving my accounts to another bank.
I’m using drive through today to make a deposit, kind of hurry so I use drive through for my convenience. Wait for almost 10’, press the call button 3 times, no one show up. About to go to my other favorite location – Rice Village which is out of the way to get the service I deserve. Finally, the lady showed up, said “sorry” that she was busy with customers. I wonder, how many people working at that time. I have never waited that long unless there are people in front of me. I will go to my usual location and get greeted by my name.
Walked in three times asking to set up business checking account. Each time, I was asked to leave my name, email, and number for the manager to get back to me within 24 hours because “only the manager can approve a business checking account”.
They have never reached out to me once. No calls, no emails, nothing.
Wasted weeks waiting on them.
Don’t waste your time here. You will not be a respected or valued customer here no matter how much business you’ve done with them in the past.
