    Amanda was great and very nice and sweet and easy to talk to. She made me feel very comfortable as a customer and even though one day my fiancé went in there to get his to sell or something and kind of blew up on her and I apologize to her about it because first of all he should not act like that he’s a grown man second of all it’s just policy, but very, very much thank you for being amazing!!

    How amazing is this staff?? Let me tell you! I was searching for a hard to find item and John called another shop AND FOUND IT FOR ME! I got a great deal and even had the taxes reduced because I traveled so far (fiesta pawn on south post oak rd, also amazing see other review) to get there. Jaylynn and John and the rest of the staff are very helpful and eager to please. They will be getting an Xmas card from me my family for sure! Thanks y’all!

    I bought an AR15 and was told that it was new. I was given the story that the guns get put up every night and that’s why they get scuffed up. Thought to my self makes sense it wasnt to bad so
    I thought nothing of it. When I get it home and break it down the firing pen is broke the gun is useless. My advise to any body that buys rifles there is be very careful cause oh John the Manger Will screw you any chance he gets.

    I like this pawn shop on Park Place at the Gulf Freeway. It’s clean and well-lighted. It’s small, but they have a nice selection of merchandise.

    I was impressed by the jewelry counter display. They offer a nice selection of audio equipment, televisions, car stereos, shoes, power tools and equipment, etc. The store associates are friendly and helpful.

    I was initially very happy with Value Pawn Shop, but lately I’ve experienced some frustrating communication issues that have led me to reconsider doing business here. When I went to extend my loan on three items, the employee helping me only extended one item instead of all three. There seems to be confusion among staff about policy for extending loans and pick up dates. I was told I had 10 days after the due date to pick up my items, but then received a call the next day saying they were selling my items already. This whole situation has been confusing and disappointing. I hope management looks into improving communication between staff and with customers, as well as providing clearer explanations of policies. I want to resolve this issue so I can feel comfortable doing business with Value Pawn Shop again.
