I’ve been here once, and that was enough. I walked through the store and didn’t see anything I was interested in buying, but on the way out I decided to buy a soda out of the machine in the front of the store. I gave the machine two one dollar bills for a can of soda that cost $1.25. The machine dropped three quarters for my change, but the change tray was missing from the machine, so my quarters clunked down INSIDE the case of the machine and out of reach. I walked up to the counter, cold can of soda in hand, and said “Hey, your soda machine is broken and my change fell down inside the case of the machine where I can’t get it. Can you give me three quarters?” The three guys behind the counter said “Yeah, it’s broken. It’s not our machine. There’s a customer service phone number on the side if you want to call them to get your change.” I said “… You can’t just give me three quarters??” They. Said. NO. I walked out.
Let that sink in folks… They have a store that a customer came into to check out their wares, bought a soda from a machine IN their store that they obviously make money from, the machine ate that customers change, and they told them “Tough luck, sucks to be you.” over what? Seventy… five… cents…… I guarantee you that this attitude extends to ALL their transactions and business dealings.
You know what’s going to cost them more than seventy five cents? This review.
Horrible business practices, they have items marked with a price tag and they’re not gonna honor the price due to a sticker that’s on the bottom they don’t want to honor their prices, and they have lost my business forever.
I have used this place for 3 years now. Pawned many guns and ammo. I have also purchased many things from this store as well. I saw one review say that they do not do exchanges or refund if item is not working and thats a lie. I bought a Samsung s6 and had it 3 days before i took it back and they took it back , full refund without question. Everything else that i had bought there has worked great and properly. One controller that came with an Xbox 1 did not work and the swapped it out for me. They have a great layaway system thats great for ppl who are tight on cash. They have good customer service. The managers are great! Chris and Robert and Joe are always super helpful and just really laid back guys. Theres a lady with black hair that works there (forget her name) but she is great as well. They notice repeat customers and have worked with me when i needed. This is THE ONLY PAWN SHOP I GO TO. Tons of tools, tvs, etc. Always fully stocked so its cool that when i go looking for something, i know they will usually have it or something similar.
If I could give zero stars for this place, I would but I’m not given that option, so i am having to click 1 star and this is why. My boyfriend and I found a gun for sale there and we were doing a layaway plan with them. 65 dollars later they pulled it without a warning or a call and they sold it to another and we lost out on the money we had already paid and the gun too. Will never do business here. We didn’t pawn anything, we just trying to purchase t hi is gun. I do not recommend this shady place!
I have now purchased three items from this store. They tell you right up front that there are no refunds unless the item does not work. They give you plenty of time to test and make sure item functions properly. In spite of this, I did have one item that did not function 100% when i got it home. I took it back, not wanting a refund, happy to exchange for another model. They very politely checked, determined what I said was correct, looked for a replacement and could not find one. They gave me a refund with no hassle. You cannot ask for more than that. They are not Walmart with a policy to take anything back no matter what. But neither are Craig’s list, eBay, or your local garage sale. Do your due diligence before you leave store and you can get some very good items at very good prices.
