I always get such happy and helpful customer service whenever I call. I have since moved states but continue to be loyal for First Bank of Wyo.
The fraud dept missed one . And I had the embarrassment if leaving a full cart at Walmart, because they put a hold on it. No text alert. All I was sent was a recording that couldn’t even pronounce my name. “Insert name here recording, with a 1 800 number to call” sounded like a scam, who in their right mind would believe it was from their Bank? You have our numbers, a text from the banks recognizable local number is more respectful, personal and believable than that recording.
As for the the issue of stolen numbers. It would be nice to have the option to add filters to prevent the whole thing from happening.
The majority of us have a pattern, the range we normally use the card in. The Fraud Department tries to guess. But they don’t really know our purchase patterns. I suggest, one option is to make a pin only or option to turn off using as a charge card. Or other filters the customer could apply. For me, if it’s not in WYOMING, then it wasn’t me. Their system for catching fraudulent charges is guessing at best. Changes need to be made to reduce fraud and make all are lives (except the crooks) less stressful. And now waiting to see if I get my money back.. yes, from a guy who never purchased an airline ticket, they let one slide from a fake “SouthWes” charge (not debit), not even the ticket number provided exists claimed one “South West Air” employee..
