Bank of the West charges outrageous fees if you try to cash a check drawn from their bank and you do not have an account with them. This is bad service for a bank.
I love the Riverton Bank of the West! They are always so helpful if I have an issue they are always quick to help. My family has been banking with them for years and I have always experienced professionalism and curiosity whenever I came in or called them directly.
Terrible bank. After moving to the state I made the poor decision to open up an account with the hopes of being treated with a level of dignity and professionalism.
In the process of moving, I had sold a large number of personal items back East. I never had a problem using mobile deposit multiple times with my former bank, so I figured it would be the same. Well lo and behold, BMO froze my account!!!!!
Why?
Suspicion of fraud. Apparently they veiw multiple checks as a red flag and have frozen my account for almost a whole month. I called their fraud investigation line and was treated not as a customer but as a suspect. How rude and unprofessional.
I just filed an official compliant with the Wyoming AG’s office. I do hope that will get things rolling, so to speak.
Do not do any sort of business with them in the slightest.
