DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU ARE LGBT or any POC. Me and my wife were strongly DISCRIMINATED AGAINST when we went in there trying to deposit/cash a money order that was GIVEN TO US. Went in there and was not helped by and white lady with gray/blonde hair. Was given rude looks and attitude from the start. She started stating that we don’t have the funds to cash the money order?!INVALID RULE. Has my wife sign her name before she explained that we wouldn’t get the money until tomorrow. So we left. I called a SUPERVISOR and she explained that it wasn’t because we didn’t have the funds. It was because our account was 5 DOLLARS NEG. WHICH IF WE HAD BEEN TOLD THAT FROM THE JUNP WE COULD HAVE PUT 5 DOLLARS BACK?!? Anyways we were able to go back and cash it. WHOLE ORDEAL TOOK AN HOUR. The assistant manager was definitely making up rules as she went. Just save yourself the trouble and DO NOT BANK HERE. FELT SO AND DISCRIMINATED AGAINST.
I am very disappointed in the customer service I received from Broadway Bank. I chose to close my account after 35 years of service. To begin with their Culebra location abruptly closed and the new institution was now out of my way. When I went to close my account, I did not hear, oh I’m sorry to see you leave, what can we do to keep you at Broadway, or what brings you to closing your account. So forget the parting gift. The teller merrily handed me a closing account slip and closed my account. I was hurt because of my years of being with them.
I have been banking with this branch for over 12 years. The staff has helped me numerous times with various things. I have found everyone who has ever worked here to be polite, nice, and extremely competent. I have been banking with broadway for this long because of this branch. You will not find nicer people
I needed to open an account for my disabled daughter to receive her SSI disability payments to go into. They would be directly deposited into the account by a govt agency so guaranteed money into an account every month, and I was denied. WoW. Disgusting. Guess I’ll be contacting the ADA.
Some of the staff know me by name and all of them provide excellent customer service. Broadway has helped us with vehicles, business, and more for many, many years. They are a wonderful, locally held bank that services your accounts and financial needs very well. Highly recommend.
