5 Reviews on “Cash America Pawn”
Cash Pawn, 9227 Msbach Rd. I do alot of business with Cash Pawn at other locations. I was out running errands and had just come from the gun range. Now I just stopped in to see their inventory. They had signs on certain pistols. One sign read “Taurus Your choice$199”.
There were 3, g2cs and a G3 (tan). The female clerk said that it was $199 aswell. It only had one mag and no box.. Now I didn’t need this but for price I wanted to get it. She started the sale transaction. She asked a tall Hispanic male for is register number to continue the sale. He immediately said that that wasn’t the price. Second time this has happened at this location. I won’t be back. It’s called “Bate and Switch”. Note during this time, Academy is running a huge sale on Taurus……
Friendly staff. ATM inside. Lots of laptops, gaming consoles, they have an assortment of instruments. They have guns and tools. They still have dvd’s. You can put 10% down for layaway, they have different layaway plans for different items. Some can last 3 months other 6 months. Overall it’s a good experience.
I put a iPad on layaway, and a week later I found out it’s listed as lost or stolen. They did not want to work with me on it and still wanted me to pay full price for it. Absolutely unacceptable! They kept telling me I didn’t purchase the protection, but that should be about if the device had an issue, not that it’s stolen. I just lost the $100, and now they will try to sell it to someone else knowing this info. Just disgusting!
I recently had a great experience purchasing a guitar amp at the pawn shop, thanks to Darrel. From the moment I walked in, Darrel was incredibly attentive and helpful. He listened to my needs and provided detailed information about the different amps available. His extensive knowledge about musical equipment was evident, and he guided me to the perfect amp that suited both my budget and requirements. Darrel’s friendly and patient approach made the entire process smooth and enjoyable. I highly recommend seeking out Darrel for any musical equipment needs – his expertise and excellent customer service truly stand out.
Went into the store yesterday and capitalized on the deal “15% down for layaway 15% off total price”.
The first girl who helped us didn’t apply the 15% off and we noticed once we got home on our receipt. Called the following day (today) 9/28/24 and Lori (think that’s how it is spelled) said no problem she can fix it and to come back in later.
We came back and Lori wasn’t in, no problem I’ll ask the other Manager Bea. The worker who helped us said he couldn’t do it but will speak to the manager about it. With poor customer service she said nope and that we’d have to pay the restocking fee and all this stuff about how we cannot get the deal that we were offered and supposed to have initially. She said she’d have to call in some other manager that I’m assuming is the branch manager or someone higher to code all this stuff in and basically she cannot do it, or shall I say didn’t want to do it. We waited my whole lunch break (1 hour) and when Lori came back she got it finished in less than 10 minutes.
She said it wasn’t something hard, she had to do a couple things to void out the other ticket without refunding me and moving over my balance and the correct price with the discount onto the new one. In just under 10 minutes. 10 MINUTES!
Lori is the assistant manager and I think should be the main manager in my opinion. A simple task was dragged on for an entire hour, with no attempt to even work with me but basically saying “nope sorry I won’t do it” by Bea.
This was super frustrating to deal with, it wasn’t so much that I had to wait because I know it was busy. But we waited our turn just like everyone else and once we got there it was virtually no help. The man who was working with us at the cashier was nice and advised us to just wait for Lori and she’ll take care of us because Bea said she wasn’t able to.
I don’t know his name but I do want to say thank you to him and Lori. I think Lori should be running the place because she has a way better attitude and knowledge of the system.
